Microwave Scallion Noodles

A quick, single-serving version of scallion oil noodles made in the microwave.

Ingredients

  • 3-5 stalks scallions
  • 1 bowl cooked noodles
  • 1-2 tbsp olive oil
  • Seasoning:
    • 1 tsp soy sauce
    • 1 tsp oyster sauce
    • 0.5 tsp sugar
    • Sesame seeds
    • Chopped scallions (for garnish)

Notes

  • Make sure to cover the bowl with a lid before microwaving to prevent splatters and ensure even heating.

Instructions

  1. Chop the scallions (cut into sections) and place them in a microwave-safe bowl. Add the olive oil.

  2. Cover the bowl with a lid. Microwave on high for 6 minutes. Note: The oil will be extremely hot.

  3. Remove carefully. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar to the hot scallion oil mixture.

  4. Add the hot cooked noodles to the bowl and toss well to coat.

  5. Finish by garnishing with extra chopped scallions and sesame seeds.
